Spire Capital Announces the Appointment of Peter Weber as CEO of PenLink, a current Spire Capital Portfolio Company
New York, NY – March 5, 2024 – PenLink (“PenLink” or the “Company”), one of the leading AI-powered digital evidence and intelligence platforms driving real-time, actionable data for law enforcement, national security, and defense sectors both domestically and internationally, today announced that Peter Weber, formerly CEO of Carpathia and Curvature, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Weber had been serving on the Company’s Board of Directors and as an operating partner at Spire Capital for the previous two years. Peter Weber succeeds Kevin Pope, PenLink’s former CEO, who will transition to a Board Advisor.
Peter Weber has over 30 years of experience growing businesses and driving financial performance across global, technology organizations. Prior to PenLink, Peter founded SevenSpace (acquired by Sun Microsystems in 2005), served as CEO of Carpathia (acquired by QTS in 2015), and CEO of Curvature. He has a deep understanding of PenLink’s business, operations, and culture from his experience on the Company’s Board of Directors since early 2022. Mr. Weber is a notable executive in the technology sector having previously served as a Board Member / Advisor for Spire Capital Partners, LightEdge Solutions, and Dynamic Quest. Mr. Weber has a BA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
