Spire Capital Partners Invests in Lighthouse eDiscovery

Spire Capital’s 4th investment in Fund III will support Lighthouse’s continued expansion to the East Coast and Europe.

NEW YORK (Feb. 12, 2015) – Spire Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm specializing in investments in the business services, information services, education, media and communications sectors, today announced its investment in Lighthouse eDiscovery (“Lighthouse” or the “Company”), a leading provider of technology-enabled eDiscovery services.  This marks the fourth investment in Spire’s third fund.

Headquartered in Seattle, WA, Lighthouse has a strong track record of servicing the eDiscovery needs of large, blue-chip corporate clients.  Lighthouse will use Spire’s financial investment to build out an East Coast operations center and geographically-redundant data center, and to expand into Europe.  “With Spire Capital’s assistance, Lighthouse plans to expand to new sectors that will allow us to reach an entirely new customer base and achieve a global reach,” said Brian McManus, CEO, Lighthouse eDiscovery. “This advancement will provide Lighthouse with the opportunity to establish new markets, expand upon our current set of services and build our brand globally.”

Andy Armstrong, one of Spire’s co-founders, will be Chairman of Lighthouse’s Board of Directors, and Sean White, Partner at Spire Capital, will also join Lighthouse’s Board. The combined addition to the Board will support the company’s expansion goals and competitive positioning in eDiscovery services and consulting.

“As we surveyed the market, Lighthouse emerged as a leader and innovator in the eDiscovery field, helping its corporate clients efficiently manage the eDiscovery process with its unique applications and services, and also control downstream review costs with managed review firms and outside counsel,” said Andy Armstrong, co-founder of Spire Capital. “We are aware that the eDiscovery industry is rapidly changing, particularly in the US and Europe, and we look forward to working with Brian and his management team as they continue to lead change in this industry.”
